Addition to the JaR young athletes support – Welcome SV Absam U12

Our campaign of promoting young people carries on with the SV Absam U12 team.

The SV Absam is a great example when it comes to working with kids and promoting them. This is why the club is already part of our campaign for some years now. And now the U12 Team is our newest member.

When we support a team, it is not about the success in sports but rather first of all to convey kids and young people fun about motion and sports and as well to support them in their personal development by conveying them values like ambition, fairness, discipline and respect.

JaR founder Patrick Murnig: “It has always been our matter, to support and accompany kids and young athletes on their own way. Therefore we are very glad, that we are able to make a contribution to their development. We are delighted to have a team like the U12 of the SV Absam now as well on board.”

“Kids meet their Idols” 2018

For the sixth time already we organised this special special cross-country training session for kids of Tyrolian ski clubs and their stars and Idols form the world cup team of the Austrian Nordic Combination.

Nearly 60 young talents trained together with their idols and had the chance to get some advice from the professionals in a fun atmosphere. Everybody enjoyed this afternoon with ambition, motivation and joy. Olympic bronze medal winner Mario Seidl, Franz-Josef Rehrl, David Pommer, Marco Pichlmayer, Cross-country coach Jochen Strobl and jumping coach Christoph Bieler took their time together with the Young Talents Dominik Terzer and Christian Deuschl  and coached the numerous young talents. A lot of action on the loipe and a lot of smiling faces were the result.

The young man from Absam Dominik Terzer who was a part of “Kids meet their idols” himself in 2013, this year won 2 Junior World Championship medals and gave his debut in the Worldcup this season. A beautiful story which found its beginning at the first edition of JumpandReach’s “Kids meet their Idols”.

Beside the challenging and diverse training stations there was enough time to get some autographs and selfies from the big role models.

It is a great experience to motivate young athletes.  Of course it is great to see that we can fascinate them for the Nordic sport. It was great to see that everybody has so much fun and ambition,” the athletes said delighted.

“The cross-country training was quite exhausting but we had a lot of fun and learned a lot. It is a cool experience to train with the world cup athletes and even get advice from them”, the kids were amazed.

Patrick Murnig:”JumpandReach made itself the task to inspire kids for sports and to promote young talents. This is why we are really happy that our “Kids meet their Idols” is such a great success every year. It is great to see that we can motivate the kids to keep working on their dream. A big thank you goes out to all of the athletes, they are doing a great job together with the kids. As you can see the fun does not come to short”.

Lis Raudaschl stays ambassador

Next week the only 20 years old ski jumper Lis Raudaschl will start in a new world cup season, her first world cup season with Olympic Games. The main goal for the young Upper Austrian is to show a constant performance: “I worked very focused this summer and I think I made a big step forward. The goal is to live it up to the world cup season and to show a constant performance. We will see how good that will be compared to the other jumpers. Nevertheless it’s a fact that being part of Olympic Games is big dream of mine wish I would like to fulfill, but there is much to do till then.”

But she does not only have ambition to achieve a great performance with her, she also has an important matter in her bag – to inspire kids for sports and movement. That’s why she will jump again this season with the wording “kids(e)motion” on her helmet and is therefore still our important ambassador of this initiative. Kids(e)motion stands for enthusiasm for sports and movement as well as for sportive values like ambition, discipline, fair play and respect. Exactly those are the things Lis tries to set an example for kids.

We wish her a lot of success for this season and that she will be able to carry the idea of this initiative further, to become involved in the development of kids and young athletes.

JumpandReach-family visits children’s hospital of Innsbruck

This year again the JumpandReach-athletes visited the children’s hospital of Innsbruck. As it has already been at the last visits, the focus lied on having a nice exchange with the kids. Seeing them smile, play together and just spending some time with the children. “It is just lovely to see how much one can achieve with just a visit,” said Stefan Kraft.

When the athletes entered the room, the shining in the children’s eyes was huge. They quickly forgot about their shyness and the kids started to ask the athletes a lot of questions. Being so close to top athletes, playing cards with them and laugh with them will be an experience, these kids will certainly not forget for a long time, It is touching to see what kind of challenges these kids have to master in such early days of their life. This is why I feel very happy that just with my visit here I was able to bring the little ones such a great joy,” Michael Hayböck said.

We can look back at a very special day which will stick in all of our minds for a long time. And surely this has not been the last visit.

Dinner over the roofs of Innsbruck

Also this year the traditional JumpandReach for friends took place. The device of the current meeting was: Gold, silver, bronze and crystal. There was enough time to review and celebrate the last successful winter season.

However the focus on Friday’s evening were the kids. So the children from SV Absam, UHC Absam and WSG Wattens were allowed to take dinner with their idols Stefan Kraft, Michael Hayböck, Mario Seidl, Christian Deuschl, Dominik Popp and Benjamin Pranter over the roofs of Innsbruck. The kids could talk to our athletes during the ascend to Seegrube with the special “Kids cable car” and there was also enough time for selfies and autographs.

So the kids spend together with their idols a nice and exciting evening at Nordkette. There was both a panoramic view to Innsbruck and to the surrounding mountains.

Young Athletes Support goes National Football Match

Flags and horns were needed, when JumpandReach invited the clubs of its “Young Athletes Support” to the friendly national football match of Austria against Finland. All young athletes cheered enthusiastically for the Austrian team with David Alaba as captain while having a great football evening!

But the evening wasn’t all about football. The whole JumpandReach athletes family, Stefan Kraft, Michael Hayböck, Mario Seidl, Lis Raudaschl, Christian Deuschl, Dominik Terzer, Raphael Galle, Dominik Popp and Benjamin Pranter, took some time for the kids, posing for fotos, writing autographes and just chatting with the kids. And also during the game the kids had some time to talk to their idols.

In the end a very special evening for the kids, parents and athletes!

Kids meet their Idols 2017

The very special kids cross-country day with the stars of the Austrian Nordic Combined Team was held already for the fifth time.

Again, more than 60 young talents didn’t want to miss out the chance to train with their idols and they all learned with a lot of passion and ambition tips and tricks from the athletes. The prominent trainers, Christoph Bieler, Willi Denifl, Mario Seidl, David Pommer, Christian Deuschl und Dominik Terzer (he was also a kid at the first “Kids meet their idols”) catered for a lot of action and many smiling faces. After the training all kids had the chance to get some autographes and fotos with their idols.

“It’s so great to see the kids cross-country skiing with so much joy and how they absorb and immediately translate all the tips. A great event!”, said all the athletes!

“It was very exhausting, but nevertheless so much fun. It’s so great to train at least once with the stars of the world cup and to learn some tricks,” said the kids enthusiastically!

Max Obergruber: “JumpandReach set itself to inspire kids for sports and movement and to support young talents respectively. Therefore it is so nice to see, that our “Kids meet their Idols” is such a success every year and that it really motivates the kids to work on their dreams. As you can see, fun is also a very big part of this day – for kids and athletes.”

Addition to the JaR promotion of young people – Welcome WSG Wattens U10

One year ago, JumpandReach launched a brand new promotion of young people campaign to support kids and young athletes. The campaign’s goal is, together with different teams, to encourage kids in their sport and especially in their personality. With the WSG Wattens U10 team our JaR promotion of young people has grown again.

The WSG Wattens club is kind of a great example how to work for and with kids and therefore it suits perfectly into the JaR promotion of young people. But this campaign is not (only) about the success in sports of the supported teams but rather first of all to convey kids and young people fun about motion and sports and as well to support them in their personal development by conveying them values like ambition, fairness, discipline and respect.

JaR founder Patrick Murnig: “It has always been our matter, to support and accompany kids and young athletes on their own way. Therefore we are very glad, that we are able to make a contribution to their development. We are delighted to have a team like the U10 of the WSG Wattens now as well on board.”

Rauch supports the JumpandReach kids projects

We’re glad to welcome Rauch Fruchtsäfte as a new sponsor of JumpandReach. Hence – as part of our kids(e)motion initiative – another Austrian family company will support energetically our work for and with kids.

Since several years from now, JumpandReach works actively on getting kids to sports and exercise, in order to mediate life values, like respect, fair play, ambition and discipline.

With their support, Rauch will contribute an important part, so that we can realize also in future several projects for and with kids, like “Kids meet their Idols”, the JaR young athletes promotion or activities together with the SOS Children Villages.

“We are very happy to have Rauch with us, as a strong and dedicated partner. We are sure that we can expand our engagement for kids with the help of them even further and thereby enthuse and motivate kids for sports and exercise also in future”, says JumpandReach founder Patrick Murnig.

Michael Hayböck, Stefan Kraft & Mario Seild visit Innsbruck’s Children’s Hospital

The JumpandReach athletes Michael Hayböck, Stefan Kraft and Mario Seidl visited – like last year – Innsbruck’s Children hospital to spend some time with the kids there.

The three athletes took some time apart from their training and played and laughed with a lot of kids from all the different infirmaries. A great and also very emotional experience for both sides! The kids were visibly enthralled and very enthusiastic about every game and talk with the athletes. But also the staff was very delighted by the visit of Michi, Stefan and Mario.
