Pizza Dinner with the JaR-Athletes

On Saturday we invited the kids of the SV Absam – one of the clubs we support in their work with kids – for a special pizza dinner.

It was an evening on which the 11-13 years old football player had the chance to ask Stefan Kraft, Michael Hayböck and Mario Seidl all they ever wanted to ask them. Furthermore they got a lot of useful tips from the JumpandReach football players, like Dominik Popp, who plays for the WSG Wattens. A great evening which was fun for all participants, no matter whether kid or adult and which we definitely will repeat.

You’ll find more information about our engagement for the support of kids of Austrian Clubs under: Supporting Youngsters

Clubs at Bergiselspringen and Nordic Combined Triple

Since many years JumpandReach is supporting young athletes at their sportive and personal development. In this context many clubs came up to us and asked for support.

To fulfil these requests we worked on a young athletes program for sports clubs as it was possible and in harmony with our philosophy. The goal with this “JumpandReach Young athletes sponsorship“ – with it we support sport clubs with distinguished work on their young athletes work – is to help together with the club to support the kids in their sportive and as well personal development. At the moment JumpandReach supports the U12/U13-team of handball club UHC Absam and the U11/U12-football players of SV Absam.

On focus is the work of the sport clubs with the young athletes and the sportive successes of the teams are second-rated. That means that at the end of the year it is not important how many games or titles the teams won or got, but the amount of activities the clubs did with their kids.

So JumpandReach invited both clubs to the Bergiselspringen on January 2 and 3, 2016 and to the Nordic Combined Triple 2016 in Seefeld. Both teams came with flags and horns and have been with us to cheer for the JumpandReach Michi Hayböck, Stefan Kraft and Mario Seidl. It was a joyful day for everybody.

Beside the fun, that is very important for JumpandReach, it is also important to give the young athletes values like fairness, respect, ambition and discipline to take on their way. At these mega events our athletes and we could be a model role for the young clubs and also give them the chance to think outside the box.

Mag. Patrick Murnig – foundation member of the association of friends of children’s hospital Innsbruck

It was the beginning of November when it starts. The association of friends of children’s hospital Innsbruck was born with their first meeting. In the scope of a first personal arrangement with all members of the committee of honour, academic council and the association members it was a first come together and discussion about the first steps.

Extract from the Statutes: Die Association hast the goal, to support and promote the children’s hospital Innsbruck. That should be possible with different initiatives…

Because of that is the group of foundation members created a various mix of different personalities. On this base there should be more support for the children’s hospital and their challenges generated in the future. Ea. Silvia Platter, Christine Thöni, Univ. Prof. Dr. Tilg, Danna Swarovski, Elisabeth Gehrer and Dr. Alexandra Kofler were has been a part of the first arrangement.

„For me it is a desire since years that we have the responsibility to stand up for our children, to help them in their personal development, to give them values, the help where help is needed AND to sharpen the awareness, that we are a model role for them. The first contacts with the children’s hospital showed me that the workforce under the leading of Univ. Prof. Dr. Gaedicke act in concert and have a high engagement that is appreciable for the children. The children had (as usual) a pleasure with our time“, Patrick Murnig says. „Andi t is a pleasure for me to be suggested as a foundation member in a group of very important personalities“. His tasks will be the supporting and coordination of sportive initiatives and activities of the associations and the children’s hospital.

U11-U12 of SV Absam, the next teams at the JumpandReach young athletes supporting project

Last year JumpandReach coined a new project for the support of children and young athletes. The goal is to help together with the club to support the kids in their sportive and as well personal development. The U11/U12 team of SV Absam is the next team who is gets the young athletes support.

Main focus at the elective of the supporting clubs is their work with children. The SV Absam is a model role for support of young athletes and because of that it fits perfect to the JumpandReach young athletes project. It is not about the sportive success of the club, but to show them fun at sports and also support them in their personal development (ea. trough the communication of values like ambition, fairness, discipline and respect).

JaR-founder Patrick Murnig: „It is my desire to support and accompany children and young athletes in a way. Therefore I am happy that with this project we take some steps forward and accomplish an input in this development.

JumpandReach visits Innsbruck’s Children’s Hospital

Since many years, JumpandReach commits itself for kids and young athletes, be it by doing trips with kids of the SOS Children’s Village or directly by supporting young athletes of different sports clubs. Our engagement was also this time characterized by giving some time and joy to kids.

We visited with all the JaR-Athletes Innsbruck’s Children’s Hospital where we stopped by every infirmary to play and laugh with all the kids – in short to spend a good time with them. A great but also very emotional experience for both sides. The kids were visibly enthralled and very enthusiastic about every game and talk with the athletes. But also the staff was very delighted by the visit of Michi, Stefan and Mario. In the end we left all the games we brought along in the hospital’s common room and every kid also got a personal present bag.

At this point we want to say thanks to all the supporters and sponsors of JumpandReach who made it possible to organize all those games and presents for the kids. The athletes also brought a present for the hospital itself: Two original ski jumping skis of Michael Hayböck, which were signed by all the JaR-Athletes. We’re sure that they will get a very special place in the hospital.

„Kids meet their Idols“ 2015

With the slogan “Kids meet their Idols” we organized this year for the third time a cross-country skiing training session for children of Tyrolean clubs and the Nordic combined Austrian national team.

Over 60 young talents took the chance and came to the training session with the professional athletes, who are great model roles. They got the possibility to learn something from the professionals and got some special tips of world cup stars.

The Olympic winners Christoph Bieler and Mario Stecher and also youngster Fabian Steindl gave the kids some useful tips and experiences to take on their way. The motivation and ambition, as well as the joy were written on the children’s faces. After a sportive session the kids got autographs and photographs with their idols.

„It is great to see how many fun the kids have at cross-country skiing and how they implement the tips and help immediately“, all the professionals said unanimous.

„The cross-country skiing was very arduous today, but it was big fun. To practice with a world cup athlete and look at their technique is a great experience“, was the voice of the kids.

A very big thanks goes to all athletes and as well to the sponsors Manner, Recheis and Holly Kaffee for their support.

JumpandReach supports a club on their young athletes work at first time

For the first time JumpandReach supports a sport club (UHC Absam) at their young athletes work. Since many years JumpandReach supports young athletes at their sportive and personal development. In this context many clubs came up to us and asked for support. To fulfil these requests we worked on a young athletes program for sports clubs as it was possible and in harmony with our philosophy. This concerns financial support and provision of know-how.

The project „club sponsoring“ is going to be financed out of the funding pot. Only clubs with a distinguished young athletes work will be supported. To be sure that our support goes targeted to the young athletes work, the clubs have to report about their activities once a year. The clubs have not to report about their sportive success, but about their work with young athletes in general. We are looking forward to a great cooperation!
JaR-founder Patrick Murnig: „It is my desire to support and accompany children and young athletes in a way. Therefore I am happy that with this project we take some steps forward and accomplish an input in this development.
